Testimony continued today in the trial of four defendants accused of murdering Penfield resident Craig Rideout.
Rideout’s sister, Robbyn Drew, told the jury she went to her brother’s town home and found one of the defendants, his estranged wife Laura, cleaning inside. Drew says Laura Rideout allegedly said “I knew it wouldn’t be long before someone came looking for him.” Drew originally reported her brother missing.
Craig Rideout’s body was found off a rural road in Yates County, wrapped in a tarp and disfigured by acid drain cleaner. Laura Rideout, her sons Colin and Alex, and her boyfriend Paul Tucci are accused in his murder.
The prosecution introduced video from hundreds of surveillance cameras at Walmarts in Macedon and on Hudson Avenue in Rochester. They show the defendants buying drain cleaner, a shovel, gloves and a bottle of Diet Coke. An empty Diet Coke bottle was found at the crime scene in Craig Rideout’s basement.
