New York State Senator Rich Funke says three terms is enough; he won’t seek re-election next year to the 55th District.
He’s the third area Republican state senator to decide on retirement from the senate in recent weeks, and he says that the switch to a Democratic majority in the senate is a partial cause.
Funke says he’s now battling an ideology-driven Democratic leadership from downstate that makes it hard to get things done for his Rochester-area district. Funke says he’s also a believer in term limits, and three is enough.
