Rochester misses an opportunity to score the winning goal in stoppage time.
ORLANDO, FL. — Rochester Rhinos forward Kenardo Forbes had a chance in stoppage time to score, but Orlando City B goalie Josh Saunders came up with a huge save to preserve a 1-1 draw.
The Rhinos goal came in the first half when Ryan James fed Ray Lee on the outside. Lee hit a low cross that bounced off Saunders and right to Antonio Correia, who put the ball in the back of the net to tie the game, 1-1. The goal was Correia’s first for the Rhinos after arriving from Cape Verde this spring.
The Rhinos applied pressure late in the contest but Saunders made the key save each time.
Rochester (4-4-1) is unbeaten in six straight matches, and eight overall. The Rhinos continue their Florida road trip on Saturday at the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
