Antonio Correia scored 17 goals last season in the Cape Verdean Championship.
Rochester, N.Y. — The Rochester Rhinos announced on Friday the signing of Cape Verde international forward Antonio Correia pending USL and federation approval.
The 23-year-old most recently played for Sporting Clube da Praia and scored 17 goals last season in the Cape Verdean Championship. He has been described as a young aspiring footballer with great physical presence and scoring ability.
Antonio’s best qualities are his velocity, technique, and the speed on which he executes plays on and off the ball. He has a great heading ability where he has scored many goals this past season. He is creative especially when being marked man-to-man. Many consider him to be the most talented footballer and best scorer in Cape Verde.
