Rochester’s late season addition brings depth to the defense.

Originally from Duncannon, PA., Chase Miller attended college in Virginia playing for George Mason University from 2009-2013. There he started 18 matches as a freshman, and finished with a strong senior season appearing in 20 games. While at George Mason, Miller recorded 6 shots throughout his college career, and played a key defensive role in allowing only 16 goals all season long during his senior season. Miller graduated after the 2013 season in which Mason won its first Atlantic 10 Conference championship, and advanced as far as the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

After college Miller signed a contract with Bodens BK, a team out of Boden, Sweden in 2015. Bodens BK was formed in 1916 and currently plays in the fourth tier of Swedish soccer, Division II. While with Bodens BK, Miller described himself as a less physical defender whose strengths come from his handling of the ball and processing of the game.

“He’s a good addition in the back,” says Chief Soccer Officer Pat Ercoli. “He brings good energy and adds depth in a position where we’ve had injuries this season.”

The Rhinos return home for two games this week.

Wednesday: Kickoff at 7:05 vs the Richmond Kickers presented by Key Bank and First Niagara Bank.

Saturday: Kickoff at 6:05 vs the Wilmington Hammerheads presented by SED. Fans are encouraged to participate in ‘Go Green Night’ by wearing green to the game.
