Rochester defeats Pittsburgh to move into 6th place in the USL standings.

The Rochester Rhinos blanked the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, 3-0, on Saturday night at Rhinos Stadium. The 3 goals equalled a high season output for the hosts.

Sofiane Tergou gave the Rhinos a 1-0 in the 8th minute with his first goal of the season. He added his second goal in the 40th minute.

Sean Reilly also tallied his initial goal of the season for the Rhinos in the 57th minute for a 3-0 lead.

Rhinos goalie Tomas Gomez made 3 saves in recording the shutout.

Rochester won the previous meeting between the teams, 2-1, in Pittsburgh.

Rochester (10-5-9 for 39 points) moved into 6th place in the United Soccer League (USL) Eastern Conference.

The Rhinos have one home game remaining in the regular season, Saturday, Sep. 10, against the current Eastern Conference leader – New York Red Bulls 2.
