Rochester looks to break string of 6 straight draws on the road.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Rhinos head down to Wilmington, N.C., for their second match of the week. Currently on a streak of 6 consecutive draws on the road, the Rhinos will be looking for 3 points against a team at the bottom of the conference. This will be the second time Rochester faces Wilmington this season, the first coming just a few short weeks ago at Rhinos Stadium where Rochester walked away with a 2-0 victory.

Wednesday night the Rhinos faced Cincinnati FC, a first half equalizer from Steevan Dos Santos was the lone goal for the Rhinos at Nippert Stadium and the teams split points. The Rhinos are unbeaten in twelve of their last thirteen matches, seeing a lone loss to Richmond back on August third. The team is 10-5-10 on the season.

In the teams meeting earlier this month, the Rhinos attack was led by team leaders Christian Volesky and Steevan Dos Santos. Both had a goal and an assist each. The game would be the start of a consistent chemistry between the two in the week to follow. Dos Santos went on to assist Volesky in Rochester’s following game against Louisville. If they can continue to build off each other, the duo will be a challenge for any defense.

Wilmington is also coming off of a midweek match up against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Wilmington saw a frustrating 4-1 defeat on Wednesday night. Their lone goal coming from Fairclough who is tied for the team lead with 5 along with Caldini Perone. The team is 11th in the Eastern Conference, and is currently on an 8-game winless streak.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Legion Stadium. Watch the game live on the USL Match Center or follow the game on Twitter using #WILvROC
