Q&A Session with Andrew Dill the Owner of Dillicious Street Cuisine & Catering, who is the Capelli Sport Stadium Suite Level Catering Director.
How did you first meet David and Wendy Dworkin?
“I first met David & Wendy Dworkin through a referral, we then had an initial meeting at Capelli Sport Stadium. Not being satisfied with the previous menu concepts and hospitality being offered, they inquired about us as a potential caterer to successfully execute their luxury suite level food and hospitality division.”
What led you to the opportunity to be the Capelli Sport Suite Level Catering Director?
“When we were first planning, we had countless meetings to make sure everything was being executed correctly. From menu concepts to customer satisfaction, our goal was to offer a wider variety of options, then made sure we got it right. Throughout our planning we had constant support from David & Wendy the entire time. The Dworkin’s let us add our professional touch and customer service. Throughout the season we had constant communication on both ends to make sure we were executing at a successful level. In the hospitality industry you typically don’t see a lot of owners willing to roll up their sleeves to provide the highest quality for their guests.”
What have your interactions been with fans up on the Suite level this season?
“From my professional experience the fans are excited to be on the Suite level. When fans are in the suites, you know there is a VIP type of experience that is well deserved and as an organization we strive to give the guests exactly that. Generally, there are two types of occasions that take place within the Suites. There are countless family and group gatherings where they are very excited to cheer on the Rhinos from the Suite level. The suite attendants love going in there and checking on them because they know they are smiling and having a great time. The other event that takes place would be the business aspect. Companies are bringing important guests to pitch ideas and marketing. We have seen a lot of business deals get done during soccer matches. From the premier food and beverage offerings to Rex the Rhino paying a visit, the fans absolutely enjoy their time in the Suite level during matches.”
What did you do to improve the Suite level selections of food and beverage program?
“The Dworkin’s wanted to give the fans a wide variety of food and beverage options to be available for them. They were not in love with what was created when they first came in, so we threw everything out and started from scratch. We developed and proposed a menu that we believed the guests would truly appreciate. Wendy came in and added her own flare and added over ten wines by the bottle to be available at any given time.”
What does having the Rhinos in Rochester mean to a small business owner such as yourself?
“Dillicious Street Cuisine & Catering has seen a direct benefit from working with the Rochester Rhinos and the Dworkin’s. We as a business have had tremendous growth and success since crossing paths with them.”
What do you feel the Rhinos mean to the overall Rochester community?
“Point blank, the Rhinos are a Rochester staple. When you think of Rochester sports they are at the top of the list. The fans at the games cheer louder for their organization than I have ever personally heard. The Rhinos legacy and tradition runs deep within Rochester. I have seen first-hand how the Rhinos as well as the Dworkin’s reach out and help, as well as influence the community. I cannot state this enough how devoted the Dworkin’s are to the organization as well as the City of Rochester.”
Tell us about your business overall
“We started business in 2013 and have been growing ever since. We noticed that some of the catering businesses in the area were lacking food that came from the heart and professional flare that separated them from the rest of the pack. That is what we have strived to accomplish since we have started. The Dworkin’s reached out to us on a professional level to strike up a deal. After many meetings, emails and phone calls to develop what we both wanted to see get done, we created a relationship that left a lasting imagine. I saw first-hand how devoted David and Wendy were to this team and organization.”

What are your thoughts about improvements to communication and operations with the Rhinos?
“When game day arrived, everyone that we dealt with were all on the same page. There are a lot of moving parts that happen behind the scenes to be successful that guests don’t see. Mark Washo and his staff were in constant communication throughout all phases, so we could execute at a high success. Even before the season came to an end, we were already planning and developing customer satisfaction for the future.”
