Jordan Dover arrives from the University of Green Bay-Milwaukee.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Rhinos are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Jordan Dover, a former member of the University of Green Bay-Milwaukee. The signing is pending league and federation approval.

A native of Ajax, Ontario, Dover made more than 60 appearances for the Phoenix in his collegiate career, recording five goals and one assist. In his first season with the Phoenix he was named to the Horizon League’s All-Newcomer Team as he recorded 12 starts in 13 games as a freshman.

“Jordan brings a strong work ethic to our midfield,” said Rhinos head coach Bob Lilley. “I’m looking forward to working with him to help his progression, as he will provide important depth to our squad over what is going to be a very long season.”

Dover spent the past season competing for Durham United FA in League1 Ontario, where he made 16 appearances and recorded one goal and two assists. Dover ranked fourth on the team in minutes played, and is excited to join the Rhinos for his first professional season.

“Coming to a club with the history of the Rhinos is a great opportunity for me,” said Dover. “I hope I can help maintain the success the club has seen over the past two seasons, and I’m eager to challenge myself against the strong competition within the squad and across the USL as a whole.”

The Rhinos will kick off the 2017 USL regular season on Saturday, April 1 against Bethlehem Steel FC at Goodman Stadium. The club’s home opener is on Saturday, April 22 when the defending USL Cup champion New York Red Bulls II visit Capelli Sports Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m.
