Rochester General Hospital is back to normal operations after yesterday afternoon’s water main break.
A construction crew working on the new Sands-Constellation building broke the main, flooding part of the hospital’s basement and forcing RGH to divert emergency cases to other hospitals. Patient care wasn’t affected except for restrictions on water use.
Some morning surgical procedures were rescheduled, but all afternoon surgeries will go ahead as planned.
