Rochester Gas and Electric says it’s replacing 3,000 feet of underground cable along Beach Avenue this week in an area of Greece and Irondequoit that has experienced several recent power outages.
The company says they expect to finish the job this week and say the upgrade should strengthen the system and improve reliability for customers in Irondequoit and Greece on that circuit.
Irondequoit Supervisor Dave Seeley said by Tweet that he appreciates the utility’s quick response to the outages.
