The Rochester Fire Department dealt with three house fires Wednesday night at nearly the same time in different parts of the city.

The RFD says first came a bedroom fire in the Charlotte area, quickly dealt with by Engine 19. Next came a partition fire on the east side, also quickly contained.

Third came a house fire at 2:15 in the morning, at a 2½ story house with fire showing from the second floor. A search was made because of a report that children might still be in the house, but none were found. All residents were accounted for, having been alerted by smoke detectors and neighbors pounding on the door.

The house was extensively damaged, and the Red Cross was helping the occupants find temporary housing.
