A group of Orange Zone restaurants that sued the state over its order to shut down indoor dining won a victory in a Buffalo courtroom on Wednesday. Restaurant owners in Rochester and other parts of the state are scrambling to find out what it means for them.
A judge granted a preliminary injunction against the Governor’s ruling, and ordered a conference later this month, which will include a hearing on whether the injunction should be made permanent. The suit was specifically against the Erie County Health Department, so may not apply to other regions or restaurants that joined the suit last week.
