After the Buffalo Bills added 16 players via free agency, plus an English international this week, some observers of the team are starting to consider the Bills as a trade-back candidate in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
It could happen, but according to a report, the Bills are not the only ones looking to do move back. That is, if the Bills are at all.
According to Albert Breer of the MMQB, the Detroit Lions are “aggressively” looking to trade back. Breer also mentioned the Seattle Seahawks, too. But the Lions are the more important one.
If a team wants to trade up with the Bills, most assume it would be to grab a quarterback in the top-10. Among those considered in that position could be the Broncos (10th pick), Bengals (11), Dolphins (13) and Redskins (15).
The Lions are the important one because the Seahawks are on the clock at the No. 21 pick. Detroit slates in at eight, right ahead of the Bills’ ninth pick.
If the report holds weight, the Lions, being considered “aggressively” trying to move back, could be in more of a desperate position to move back and accept a better deal than the Bills since the two essentially hold nearly the same pick. However, the Lions already have extra picks with nine in total, as do the Bills with 10.
All speculation, but worth noting for those wanting the Bills to move back.
