The Buffalo Bills will get back their best offensive playmaker after notching their first win of the season without him last week.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bills will have running back LeSean McCoy in their lineup on Sunday when they face the Green Bay Packers.
Ian Rapoport tweeted, ‘RB LeSean McCoy, trying to return from cracked rib cartilage, was adamant this week that he’s playing. Source said the week went well, and he is slated to go vs. the Packers.’
McCoy was on the sideline during Buffalo’s Week 3 27-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings, however, he was wielding a tablet and not a helmet, helping his teammates in any way he could.
On Wednesday during a press conference, McCoy exclaimed: “I’m playing.”
Through Buffalo’s first two games this season, the Bills No. 1 back only had 21 touches before suffering his rib injury Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers when center Ryan Groy fell on him. Both the Chargers and Baltimore Ravens game on opening day saw Buffalo become the victim of big losses, so running the ball quickly became a non-factor in those games.
Against the Packers, the Bills face quarterback Aaron Rodgers, however, the Packers defense sports the 27th ranked defense (124.3 yards per game allowed) against the run as well, so McCoy could have value.
