The dominoes have begun to fall for the Buffalo Bills quarterback competition. Officially, now there are two.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills have traded quarterback AJ Mccarron to the Oakland Raiders.

The trade leaves second-year pro Nathan Peterman and rookie Josh Allen as Buffalo’s only quarterbacks left on the roster at this time. McCarron fell behind the two in the team’s quarterback competition this offseason, however, McCarron showed some late game heroics on Thursday against the Chicago Bears in the Bills’ preseason finale.

McCarron also suffered a shoulder injury during the preseason.

After announcing the trade, the Raiders released quarterback Connor Cook to make room for McCarron on their roster. This means McCarron will backup quarterback Derek Carr along with former Buffalo first-round pick EJ Manuel.
