Governor Cuomo made a quick visit to the rebuilt New York State Fair today, and in pouring rain said the upgraded fairgrounds are a metaphor for what he’s been trying to do for New York State.
The new midway now has 70 rides with all electrical service underground, there’s new parking for RVs, the grounds are WiFi equipped and all the buildings have been renovated. Cuomo says future construction will make it a national destination.
Officials then fired confetti guns, creating a brief cloud of red-white-and-blue in the rain to rededicate the fairgrounds outside Syracuse.
