A body found by a hunter off Route 20A in Livingston County could be that of the missing fugutive David Clyde Morgan.

Livingston County Sheriff Tom Dougherty said in a news conference that the decomposed body was found in a wooded area, and various evidence found with the body leads them to believe it might be Morgan’s. Dougherty says that’s not 100 percent certain yet.

Morgan has been sought since July of 2018 when he pointed a handgun at a Geneseo police officer during a traffic stop near Routes 63 and 20A. He ran into a cornfield and escaped. He was apparently on the run from a drug raid in North Carolina.
