Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich is “outraged” at the release of 51 prisoners from the Monroe County Jail to slow the spread of coronavirus, nine of whom were housed in a hotel in Greece.

Reilich says the state action was reckless, and is putting people in danger. He also says living in a hotel gives them more amenities than some Greece families.

Some of those inmates are sex offenders, and Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan is concerned that the hotel is near a school and a playground. He’s ordered extra patrols around the area.
