The AAA says Rochester-area and regional gasoline prices have stabilized for now, but will probably go up again in the spring.

The Association says the national average price for regular gasoline is down three cents from last week, at $2.34 a gallon. The statewide average is down two cents over the last week at $2.52. The Rochester area average is $2.46, down a cent since last week.

Buffalo is unchanged at $2.47 and Syracuse is down three cents to $2.40.

Gas prices are now steady across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. The Oil Price Information Service says prices can be expected to start back up again in April and May as refineries switch to summer blend gas.
