
People driving to see the solar eclipse have fueled regional increases in gasoline prices over the past week, despite a continued world glut of crude oil.
The national average prices for regular, unleaded gas dropped two cents down to $2.33 a gallon over the last week. The New York average is now $2.47.
The AAA of Western and Central New York says Rochester dropped by a penny to an average $2.41 per gallon, Buffalo is up four cents at $2.43 and Syracuse went down two cents at $2.37.
