The first 2000 fans will receive a Brian Gionta Amerks Bobblehead.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings will honor their cross-town neighbors with these Rochester Americans-themed jerseys. These game issued jerseys, sponsored by Red Wings season seat holder Danny Cashman, will be auctioned off using the LiveSource mobile app with all proceeds benefiting various veteran charities.
The first 2,000 fans on Aug. 11 will receive this Brian Gionta bobblehead presented by ConServe! The bobblehead commemorates Gionta’s lone game with his hometown Amerks on Feb. 2, 2018 in front of almost 10,000 fans at the Blue Cross Arena. He also became the first local player to score a goal in his first Amerks game.
The former Team USA captain will sign free autographs at Frontier Field on Aug. 11 from 12-12:40 pm and again from 1:15-2 pm. The 16-year NHL star from Aquinas High School scored 291 goals for the New Jersey Devils, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, and Boston Bruins.
Gionta won a Stanley Cup with the Devils in 2003, and was named captain of both the Canadiens and Sabres in his career.
