Rochester rallies to win first game, 4-3, then takes the nightcap, 4-2, over the Bisons.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings swept a double header from the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3 and 4-2, on Monday night at Coca-Cola Field.

In Game 1, Niko Goodrum notched the game-winning hit with a RBI double to plate Tommy Field, who reached on a double, in the sixth inning with the go-ahead run.

Rochester relief pitcher Jake Reed got Gregorio Petit to ground out with runners on first and second to end the game for his first save of the season.

Buffalo took a 3-0 lead on an RBI double by Christian Lopes in the fourth inning.

The Red Wings evened the count in the fifth when ByungHo Park scored on a forceout and Mitch Garver ripped a two-run double.

Rochester starter David Hurlbut (5-4) got the win while Matt Dermody (5-1) took the loss in relief.

In Game 2, the Wings scored single runs in the first and second innings, and added 2 runs in the third.

Granite scored on the sacrifice fly from Goodrum in the first to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead after he led off the inning with a single and advanced to third following singles by Matt Hague and Park.

Rochester right-hander Aaron Slegers (7-4) picked up the win after allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings.

Ryan Pressly got Jarrod Saltalamacchia to fly out with runners on first and third to end the game for his fourth save of the season for the Red Wings.

With the sweep, Rochester improved to 8-3 against Buffalo this season.
