Rochester generates 5 hits in losing to the IronPigs, 3-0.
ALLENTOWN , PA. — The Rochester Red Wings yielded a pair of long balls as they fell to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 3-0, on Sunday evening at Coca-Cola Park.
Scott Kingery hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning for the IronPigs off Rochester starter David Hurlbut (5-5).
The IronPigs tacked on another run in the eighth when J.P. Crawford hit a solo homer.
Rochester all-star Zack Granite collected 2 of the 5 hits.
The Red Wings were blanked for the sixth time this season, while the IronPigs’ staff recorded their 11th shutout of the year.
The series concludes on Monday with a 7:05 pm game.
