Rochester falls another game back in the Wild Card race to Lehigh Valley.
After racking up 19 hits on Monday night, the Rochester Red Wings were limited to just 5 on Tuesday as the host Buffalo Bisons blanked the Wings, 3-0, at Coca-Cola Field.
Rookie Adam Brett Walker collected 2 of the 5 hits for Rochester.
The Bisons broke on top first with a run in the third off Wings starter Nick Greenwood. They added a solo run in the sixth for a 2-0 margin. Greenwood (4-3) went 7 innings, giving up 7 hits while walking 3 and striking out 3 hitters.
Buffalo tacked on a solo homer in the eighth off Neil Ramirez to complete the scoring.
The loss drops Rochester (68-56) 5.5 games behind Lehigh Valley (73-50) in the chase for the International League Wild Card berth.
