Rochester will open at Saturday against the Chiefs as Friday’s game has been postponed as well.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The International League season opening game between the Rochester Red Wings and Syracuse Chiefs for Thursday has been postponed due to inclement weather. Friday’s game also has been postponed due to poor weather in the forecast.
The teams will play a single game on Saturday, April 8 at 1:05 pm and a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1:05 pm. The second game will be made up on Friday, August 4 at 6:05 pm.
The following roster moves were made by the Red Wings to get down to the 25-man active roster:
*Zack Granite placed on the disabled list with a left oblique strain
*Nick Greenwood placed on the disabled with left shoulder impingement
*Yohan Pino placed on the disabled list with right shoulder impingement
*Jake Reed placed on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain
*Ryan Strausborger placed on the disabled list with a left calf strain
Rochester’s active roster consists of 12 pitchers, 2 catchers, 8 infielders and 3 outfielders.
