Students must be either in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year to participate.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings internship program provides a great opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a professional sports organization. Available to college Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, Red Wings interns will have the opportunity to become directly involved with the team’s front office and gain hands on experience and training in various aspects of Minor League Baseball including marketing, sales, ticket operations, customer service, public relations, graphic design and many other areas of a full service sports and entertainment venue. The interns train and work directly with front office staff to gain experience and knowledge of the entire Red Wings operation.
Red Wings internships are full-time commitments, working both during the week and weekends during the season. Most internships positions start between January and April and last until the end of the season. The Red Wings are looking for dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic and possess a skill set to create a positive, professional and fun-filled environment for our fans, staff and sponsors.
This experience must be for college credit and all interns must be enrolled in school. The internship is an unpaid position, though the Red Wings will provide each intern with a credit reimbursement of up to $750 or $400 (based on approved paperwork through your school). During certain times of the program, interns may be asked to complete “labor related tasks” to support the team. In these instances, interns will receive a minimum wage ($11.10) during that time.
