INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — The Rochester Red Wings offense sputtered in a 4-0 road loss to the Indianapolis Indians Thursday night.
The Wings (45-55) mustered just 3 runs over the 3-game series, which they lost 2 games to 1.
Indianapolis jumped on Wings starter Fernando Romero in the first inning as they plated 3 runs on RBI singles from Kevin Kramer and Gates native Christopher Bostick.
Romero would settle down allowing just a Ryan Lavarnway homer the rest of the night as he went 7.2 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits and a walk.
However, Indians starter Clay Holmes was better throwing 7 innings of shutout baseball.
Andy Wilkins and Lamonte Wade picked up doubles for the Wings, who went 0-for-7 with RISP
