Buffalo hands Rochester a 7-3 setback.
TRENTON, N.J. – Gerardo Parra picked up two hits and two RBI but the Wings lost for a fourth straight night, 7-3, to the Buffalo Bisons at Trenton Thunder Ballpark Saturday evening.
It was a 1-0 game into the seventh inning when the Bisons used six hits, a walk and an error to plate six runs and blow the game open.
The Wings (2-9) answered with three runs in the top of the eighth highlighted by Parra’s two-out, two-run single. Other than the eighth inning, Rochester had just two hits the rest of the night.
Wings starter Steven Fuentes suffered the loss allowing just the one run on two hits and two walks in three innings. Kyle Lobstein turned in two scoreless innings of relief for the Red Wings.
The Wings send the rehabbing Stephen Strasburg to the mound on Sunday afternoon for the series finale.
