Rochester falls 3-1 to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

MOOSIC, PA. — The Rochester Red Wings got a quality start from Cade Cavalli but it wasn’t enough as they fell for the 11th straight game, 3-1, Friday night against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Rochester has now scored three or fewer runs in nine straight games.

Cavalli went six innings allowing three runs on eight hits and five walks. He struck out four over his 99-pitch outing.

Scranton took the lead in the first inning on a Donny Sands RBI single.

The Wings (43-65) tied it in the fourth on a Donovan Casey RBI hit.

The RailRiders answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to grab the 3-1 lead they would not relinquish.

The Wings look to get back in the win column on Saturday night.
