ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings open the 2020 season 94 days from today so to celebrate the Wings have released a sneak peek at next season’s promotional schedule. Though not yet finalized, the upcoming promo slate promises to be one of the best in baseball.
All details, including appearances and giveaways, will be announced throughout the winter and early spring. Fans can follow the Wings on social media (@RocRedWings) to stay up-to-date on all promotional releases.
Highlights
As it was a year ago, The Office Night on August 20 featuring an appearance from Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone) promises to be one of the marquee nights on this year’s schedule.
A day later on August 21, the Wings will celebrate all that is “Grim and Depressing” about Rochester on Maureen Callahan Night. The New York Post writer, who is no fan of the Flower City, has vowed to make the trek to Rochester for the game.
The Goodest Boy, Milo the Bat Dog, will make five appearances (dates still TBD) at Frontier Field in 2020.
After successful debuts a season ago, Women in Sports Night (May 15), Pride Night (June 30) and Deaf Culture Day (September 3) all return this season.
New theme nights in 2020 include Wizards Night, ‘90s Night, Miracle on Ice Night – celebrating the 40th anniversary of the USA’s victory over the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid – and Negro League Night – celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Negro Leagues. All dates for these are to be determined.
As previously announced, the Wings will adopt the Cocos Locos de Rochester moniker for home games on May 29, July 8, and August 23 as a part of Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversión Program. All three Cocos Locos games will feature the music, dancing, food, and fun of Hispanic Culture.

Frontier Field will again host five Bark in the Park games in 2020. Fans will be able to bring their good boy or girl out on April 11, April 26, May 10, May 27, and July 5.
Every Sunday is a great day for families to spend at the ballpark, but the Wings will be home for both Mother’s Day (May 10) and Father’s Day (June 21) next season with postgame, on-field catches. Chase and Skye from Paw Patrol will be at the ballpark to meet fans on July 5.
The Frontier Field staples of Team Autograph Day (April 11), Autism Awareness Day (April 25), Clean Sweep (May 9), Star Wars Night (June 20), Plates Games (Every Thursday), Postgame Fireworks (18 shows beginning May 15), the ZOOperstars! (June 13 and August 8), BirdZerk! (June 14), Independence Day Celebration (July 4), RPO Concert (July 25), Cap Day (July 25) and First Responder’s Day (July 26) all return to the 2020 promo calendar.
