The game against the Pawtucket Red Sox will be completed on Aug. 21.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings vs Pawtucket Red Sox was suspended after a half inning of play due to two downpours.
The game will be completed, starting with the bottom of the first inning, on Aug. 21. The game will be 9 innings, then the regularly schedule contest will be a 7-inning game.
The PawSox batted in the first, getting one hit off Adalberto Mejia. As the Wings were preparing to bat in the home half, a heavy downpour started at 5:17 pm. A few minutes later a second downpour hit, and the game was postponed.
The Red Wings take to the road for 3 games in Allentown, PA., against Lehigh Valley. Following the 3-day All-Star break, the Wings continue their road trip in Moosic, PA., versus Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
