Rochester and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will play a twinbill on Sunday afternoon.
The Rochester Red Wings and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders were postponed on Saturday night at Frontier Field due to inclement weather. The game will be played as part of a single-pay double header ticket on Sunday, first game starting at 1:35 p.m.
In roster moves on Saturday: LHP Ryan O’Rourke had his contract selected by the Minnesota Twins; LHP David Hurlbut, RHP Jake Reed, and RHP Omar Bencomo were all transferred from Double-A Chattanooga to the Red Wings.
*NOTES — The combined 8 home runs the Red Wings and RailRiders hit on Friday night (4 apiece) tied for the most homers hit by two teams in a single game in the history of Frontier Field, and the most hit in a 9-inning game. The only other time two teams hit 8 home runs in a game at Frontier Field came on April 25, 2009 in a 13-inning game versus Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Yankees ended up winning that contest, 17-14.
