Rochester’s game is postponed; Red Wings home Friday; 2 other events slated.
The Rochester Red Wings-Buffalo Bisons afternoon baseball game on Thursday at Coca-Cola Field has been postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, June 26 at 5:35 pm.
This is the sixth postponement of the season already for the Red Wings, joining April 6 and 7 at Syracuse, April 15 vs. Syracuse, April 23 at Charlotte and May 2 at Buffalo.
Rochester returns home for a three-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Friday. Fans can receive $2 off all online tickets for the series using promo code SockTheSox.
Wings home Friday night
The Wings return to the friendly confines of Frontier Field on Friday night for a three-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox – Boston’s top affiliate. First pitch is 7:05 on Friday before a pair of 1:35 games on Saturday and Sunday.
Sean McCoy Charity Softball Game is June 4
The LeSean McCoy Foundation and Rochester Red Wings have announced the fourth annual LeSean McCoy Charity Softball Game will be held at Frontier Field on Sunday, June 4 with festivities beginning at 2 p.m.
McCoy and his Buffalo Bills teammates will take on a team of local heroes comprised of police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. Former NFL players who have participated in this event in the past include Cam Newton, Victor Cruz, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Brian Westbrook, Thurman Thomas, Sammy Watkins, Chris Hogan and Tyrod Taylor.
Gates will open at 1 pm. The Home Run Derby begins at 2 pm. with the game starting at approximately 3 p.m.

Star Wars Night returns June 23
The FORCE returns to Frontier Field on Friday, June 23 with the Red Wings annual Star Wars Night! Star Wars Night will feature character appearances from The 501st Legion’s Garrison Excelsior and the Rebel Legion – Echo Base, a Star Wars themed Fireworks show and a game-worn Princess Leia jersey auction benefiting the Hillside Family of Agencies.
All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Hillside Family of Agencies — which provides comprehensive health, education, and human services for children and families whose challenges threaten their ability to realize their full potential. Last season , the Star Wars jersey auction helped to raise $3,375 for Hillside.
