The 3rd annaul Genesee Valley First Responders Day is offering free tickets.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Genesee Valley Motors, encompassing Genesee Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Genesee Valley Ford, together with the Rochester Red Wings, is sponsoring the third annual Genesee Valley First Responders Day on Sunday, July 23 at Frontier Field. The Red Wings will play the Toledo MudHens at 1:35 pm.
In honor of the brave work and dedicated service provided by our region’s dedicated firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, and many others. Genesee Valley is providing thousands of tickets to the Rochester area first responders.
Dom Genova, Owner of the Genesee Valley dealerships, said, “You see first responders on TV daily, putting themselves at risk for us and being available at all times of the day or night. I just wanted to do something nice to show my appreciation for what they do in a very practical way. I could think of nothing better than offering tickets to a Red Wings game first responders can spend some quality time with their families. The Red wings organization was kind enough to lend their support.”
Naomi Silver, President and CEO of the Red Wings added, “The Red Wings are proud to act as the host location for this great event. Dom Genova and Genesee Valley Motors’ outreach to first responders is a wonderfully kind gesture that benefits these selfless members of our community . Mr. Genova’s big heart and desire to give back is a true act of generosity. This is an uplifting and fun event, and we thank Dom Genova for giving us all the opportunity to say a heartfelt “thank you” to our first responders on July 23.”
Tickets for first responders are being distributed to participating town, village, county, and state police, and fire and ambulance agencies. Interested first responders are encouraged to contact their department heads to find out if their department has signed up for the event. A dedicated web site, www.FirstRespondersROC.com has been created especially for this event.
In addition to inviting their people, the police agencies listed below are also inviting residents of Monroe County to join them at the game as their guests. The law enforcement agencies listed below will be handing out tickets to residents beginning July 5 from the addresses indicated. Tickets will be on a first come first served basis and each department reserves the right to limit the number of tickets per person as they deem appropriate.
Brockport Police Chief Daniel Varrenti, President of the Monroe County Association of Chiefs of Police, said, “Because of the generosity of both the Rochester Red Wings and Dom Genova of Genesee Valley Motors we are able to give back to the community we serve and enjoy a baseball game without the stresses of the job getting in the way or a critical incident occurring for those we serve.”
