Rochester loses its third straight game.

The Rochester Red Wings scored 2 runs in the second inning, but that was all they were able to manage as the Pawtucket Red Sox battled back to win the game, 4-2, in 11 innings on Tuesday in Rhode Island.

Carlos Paulino delivered a 2-run single in the second that plated Daniel Palka, who walked, and Wilfredo Tovar, who doubled, to give Rochester a 2-0 advantage.

However, the PawSox scored solo runs in the 3rd and 7th frames to knot the count at 2-2.

Brennan Boesch smacked a 2-run homer of Red Wings reliever Sean Burnett (0-3) for the game-winning hit in the 11th.

Andrew Albers started on the mound for the Red Wings. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits while striking out 4 batters.

Rochester (60-45) dropped 6.5 games off the pace behind International League North Division leader Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after the Yankees swept a double header from Buffalo. The Red Wings also trail second place Lehigh Valley (63-41) by 3.5 games for the wild card position.
