The Indians post a 5-2 victory over Rochester.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — The Rochester Red Wings lost their second consecutive game to the Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday night.
Tyler Glasnow allowed just four hits over seven innings for the Indians. Glasnow (6-0) picked up the win after he struck out seven and walked three while allowing one run.
Indianapolis went up 4-0 in the second after Phil Gosselin scored on a passed ball and Danny Ortiz and Gift Ngoepe scored on a fielder’s choice against Rochester starter Hector Santiago. He went just one inning, allowed four runs, three hits, struck out one and walked two in making his first start of a rehab assignment from the Minnesota Twins.
The Red Wings cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Matt Hague belted a solo homer. He also singled twice in the game.
The Indians tacked on another run in the seventh.
Indianapolis improved to 4-2 against Rochester this season.
