ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester RazprSharks opened defense of their 3-time PBL Championship with a 128-75 victory over the Chautauqua Hurricane on Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena.

The game got out to a slow start as Jordan Railey scored the first basket of the game after two minutes of play. The first quarter was a tough battle between the two teams as they stayed within six points of each other over the entire period. Halfway through the first, the Hurricane’s Edwin Ubiles scored, giving Chautauqua their first lead of the game. The Sharks came right back as Corey Allmond and Dele Coker both scored buckets quickly to retake the advantage. After a solid battle throughout the quarter, the RazorSharks held a 27-24 at its conclusion.

Rochester came out in the second quarter on fire as they grew their lead to 9 points within two minutes of play. It was all RazorSharks from there on out as the first half ended with a score of 65–37.

Within four minutes, Corey Allmond got hot and dropped 10 quick points on two three pointers and two layups to help increase their lead to 38. First year centers Jordan Railey and Dominic Woodson went to work down low for the Sharks and pushed the lead to 98-55 as they headed into the fourth. The fourth was a similar story as the Sharks stayed dominant on both sides of the ball. They outscored the Hurricane 30-19 in the fourth and finished the game with a score of 128-75.
