Rochester plays the Outlaws in another must-win game to keep their playoff hopes alive.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Rattlers (5-6) host the Major League Lacrosse defending champion, Denver Outlaws (8-2) on Thursday at 7:30 pm at Capelli Sport Stadium. Rochester won the first meeting in Denver on May 27, 16-15.

Jordan Wolf had 9 points in the game (5 goals and 4 assists) and John Galloway had 14 saves to the win.

The Outlaws played the Ohio Machine last weekend and won, 13-11. Eric Law (Denver Pioneers) and Wes Berg (Denver Pioneers) each scored 3 goals. Goalie Jack Kelly (Brown) had a huge game making 22 saves in net for the Outlaws.

Matt Kavanagh (Notre Dame) leads the Outlaws with 21 goals and 15 assists. Law is third on the team with 31 points including 21 goals and 10 assists.

The Rattlers travel to Atlanta (5-6) to play the Blaze on July 29 before concluding the regular season at home on Aug. 5 against Ohio.

*EDITOR’S NOTE — Rochester is in a 5-way tie for the fourth and final MLL playoff berth. The Rattlers need to win out, plus have the Charlotte Hounds, New York Lizards, and Chesapeake Bayhawks, all at 5-6, each lose another game as the Rattlers are on the short end of all the tie-breakers with the four other teams (Atlanta) involved in the tie…The Rattlers are coming off their most productive game of the season as they trounced the Boston Cannons, 21-9, Sunday evening to break a 3-game losing skid.
