Rochester travels to Atlanta to face the Blaze on Saturday.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Rattlers (6-6) travel to the Atlanta Blaze for their second showdown on Saturday. The Blaze beat the Rattlers on June 24, 14-13 in overtime. Zed Williams had 4 points in the game (2 goals and 2 assists) and John Galloway made 9 saves in the loss.
The Blaze played the Chesapeake Bayhawks last weekend and lost, 13-12. Brian Sherlock led the Blaze with 3 goals. Goalie Adam Ghitelman (Virginia) had 14 saves in net for Atlanta.
Kevin Rice (Syracuse) leads the Blaze with 36 points (21 goals and 15 assists). James Pannell (Virginia) is in second place with 34 points (21 goals, one 2-pointer, and 12 assists).
The Rattlers return home for the regular season finale against the Ohio Machine on Saturday, Aug. 5. Game time is 7 pm.
*EDITOR’S NOTE — The Rattlers are tied for the fourth and final playoff berth with the Chesapeake Bayhawks and New York Lizards, 6-6. In order to make the MLL playoffs, the Rattlers must win out while Chesapeake and New York need to lose one more game each as the Rattlers lose out in the tie-breakers with both teams.
