Rochester beats the first place Outlaws for the second time this season.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Rattlers won a huge game against the Denver Outlaws 18-12 at Capelli Sport Stadium in Rochester. This was the second win in a row at home for the Rattlers as they beat the Boston Cannons last Sunday, scoring a franchise-record 21 goals in the 21-9 victory. With the win, the Rattlers move to 6-6 on the season.

Denver held a 3-2 lead in the first quarter before the Rattlers exploded in the second quarter, scoring 8 goals to Denver’s four. At the half, the Rattlers led 10-7.

Rochester’s offense came on fire without one of the best players in the MLL, Jordan Wolf, who was out due to injury.

With the win over the Outlaws, Rochester hits the road against the Atlanta Blaze next Saturday before they return home to Capelli Sport Stadium for the season finale on Saturday, Aug. 5 against the Ohio Machine. The Rattlers beat the Machine on May 6, 12-11, in Ohio.

KEY RATZ PLAYERS

John Ranagan scored 4 goals tonight and was named the Coca-Cola Player of the Game.

Jordan MacIntosh scored 4 goals and had one helper against the Outlaws.

Dhane Smith had 6 assists in the game.

Drew Simoneau won 18-of-34 faceoffs and picked up 12 ground balls.

Ryan McNamara, Connor Gately, and Ty Thompson each had two goals a piece. Gately and McNamara each had one assist.

Jack Near, Ned Crotty, and Joel White scored one goal each. Near and Crotty had two assists and White had one assist.

Donny Moss scored his first goal of the MLL season.

Goalie John Galloway had 16 saves on 28 SOG.
