Rochester builds a 10-3 in pulling out a 14-10 victory over the Cannons.
BOSTON, MA. — The Rochester Rattlers beat the Boston Cannons, 14-10, for their second victory of the season on Saturday night before 4,273 fans at Harvard Stadium.
The Rattlers held a 6-1 advantage at halftime after a scoreless first quarter. The Cannons stormed back in the third quarter with 8 goals of their own, but Rochester answered with 5 to take an 11-9 advantage into the final stanza.
The Rattlers defense and goalie John Galloway came up huge in the fourth quarter, allowing just one goal.
Ned Crotty finished the game with 4 points (1 goal, one 2-point goal, and 1 assist). JoJo Marasco, Kip Orban, Connor Gately (Marquette), and Jeremy Boltus all scored two goals a piece for the Rattlers. Marasco and Gately each had one assist. Gately made his Rattlers debut and stepped up big while Jordan Wolf is on the IR.
Dan Lomas, Penfield native Kyle Denhoff, and Ty Thompson had one goal apiece for the Rattlers as well.
Rochester (2-2) returns home to Capelli Sport Stadium on Saturday, May 20 against the Florida Launch. The Launch won, 12-10, last month in Florida.
