Rochester overcomes two 4-goal deficits only to fall to the Blaze in overtime.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Rattlers dropped a tough battle with the Atlanta Blaze, 14-13, in overtime Saturday night at Capelli Sport Stadium. With the loss, the Rattlers move to 4-5 on the season.
The Blaze score the first four goals of the match before the Rattlers closed the gap to a one goal at halftime, 6-5.
Atlanta once again doubled Rochester’s output in the third quarter, 4-2, to hold a 10-6 lead after three quarter.
The Rattlers finally woke up in the 4th quarter. Rochester tallied six goals in the period, including two by Ryan McNamara (Marquette). Zed Williams scored his third of the day to tie the game at 12-all. Thirty seconds later, Jordan Wolf scored to give the Rattlers their first lead of the game, 13-12, with 1:07 remaining in regulation.
However, the Blaze tie the count with 13 seconds left, then won it in the seventh minute of overtime.
Rochester hits the road against the Chesapeake Bayhawks next Sunday, July 2 before they return home to Capelli Sport Stadium on July 16 against the Boston Cannons. The Rattlers beat the Cannons on May 13, 13-10.
KEY RATZ PLAYERS
Zed Williams (Virginia) scored three goals and one assist.
John Ranagan, Jordan Wolf, and Ryan McNamara (Marquette) each scored two goals a piece. Wolf had two assists and McNamara added one assist.
Joel White scored his first goal of the MLL season.
Goalie John Galloway had 11 saves on 25 shots.
