Rochester jumps out to an early lead but on score 2 goals in the second half.

ANNAPOLIS, MD. — The Rochester Rattlers dropped a tough game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, 19-9, on Sunday evening at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

The Rattlers (4-6) went up 5-0 midway through the first quarter before the Bayhawks went on a 7-goal run of their own. Rochester led after the first quarter, 5-3, but the Bayhawks held an 8-7 advantage at halftime.

Trailing 9-7 in the third, the Rattlers scored their only goals of the second half to tie the match at 9-9.

Chesapeake shut out the Rattlers in the fourth quarter and went on a 6-0 run that capped their first win since losing to the Rattlers on June 10.

Jordan MacIntosh and Jordan Wolf paced the Rattlers with 4 points apiece as MacIntosh was the top scorer with 3 goals.

Rochester returns home for two games, starting on Sunday, July 16 against the Boston Cannons. The Rattlers beat the Cannons on May 13, 13-10.
