Ty Thompson scores the game-winner to complete the come-from-behind victory.
COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Rochester Rattlers took down the Ohio Machine, 12-11 in overtime, for their first victory of the season on Saturday night at Fortress Field.
Ty Thompson scored the game winner at 11:04 of overtime with an assist from Ned Crotty, his fourth of the match. The goal was Thompson’s second of the night.
Jordan Wolf tied up the game with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter with his 5th goal of the contest. He also contributed 2 assists to lead the team with 7 points.
The Machine held a 7-6 lead at halftime. Both Rochester and Ohio battled back and fourth the entire second half.
Rochester goalie John Galloway came up huge in the second half as he finidhed with 17 saves for the game.
Jeremy Boltus collected two goals as Jack Near, T.J. Neubauer, and Kip Orban added one apiece to complete the scoring for Rochester.
With the OT victory, Rochester returns home to Capelli Sport Stadium on Thursday, May 11 for their home opener against the Charlotte Hounds.
