A racially-charged tweet containing the “N” word allegedly posted by a Monroe Community College student is causing an uproar on campus.
MCC held an open dialogue on race and racial relations Monday at its arts center…where MCC President Anne Kress said the student isn’t new to the school, but their attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. Kress said the comments expressed in the tweet were hateful.
The tweet read “shout out to the (racial slur) who vandalized my confederate flag. You’ll be a white man’s property soon enough give Trump time.”
Other students at Monday’s meeting weren’t happy about it, some saying they don’t feel safe on campus because no action has been taken against the student who posted the tweet.
