A new Quinnipiac University Poll says New York voters now approve of how Governor Cuomo is doing his job by a margin of 52-31 percent. By a similar margin of 52-37 percent, they say Cuomo would not make a good president.
But by a similar margin, they say Cuomo should be a national voice speaking out against President Donald Trump’s policies. President Trump gets a 29 percent approval rate statewide.
Quinnipiac polled close to 1,500 votes statewide, with a plus-or-minus two point margin of error.
They found Governor Cuomo with his best job approval rating in more than two years, with a hefty 60 percent thumbs-up from New York City voters, and 43 percent approval upstate.
