A new Quinnipiac Poll finds New York in a Hillary Clinton frame of mind. Standing on a three-to-one lead in New York City, Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump statewide by 47- to- 35 percent among all New York voters.
Both Clinton and Trump continue to have high negative ratings; 41 – 52 percent for Clinton and 32 – 61 percent for Trump. Despite that, Clinton leads among all age groups and especially among younger voters.
Quinnipiac also finds a huge gender gap. Men lean to Trump 44 – 40 percent, while women back Clinton 54 – 28 percent.
New York City goes Clinton by 63 – 20 percent, while upstate voters go to Trump 48 – 36 percent.
In the New York Senate Race, Democratic incumbent Charles Schumer leads Republican challenger Wendy Long by 60 – 28 percent. Schumer is ahead among every gender, age and regional group.
