Capitol Building Albany 2A new Quinnipiac Poll says New Yorkers think government corruption is a “very serious” problem” in New York State today. Quinnipiac finds 56 percent of New York voters think so. That’s the highest number they’ve ever measured.

Another 31 percent of voters think the problem is “somewhat serious.”

By 50-to-38 percent, New Yorkers statewide say Governor Cuomo and the State Legislature won’t do anything to improve ethics in New York Government.  Nearly half of the voters say everyone should be thrown out of office and we should start with a clean slate.

Governor Cuomo gets a 50-to-40 percent job approval rating. Poll Director Mickey Carroll says that’s OK overall, but a lot of voters think when it comes to corruption, the governor is part of the problem.
