Black Lives Matter demonstrators returned to Rochester City Hall Wednesday night after being swept out of the area by police Wednesday morning. The group stayed on the sidewalk, and dismantled tents at the request of police.
The protesters say they’re not leaving until Mayor Lovely Warren steps down. Police said as long as they let people in and out of the building, they can stay on the sidewalk.
It was the second straight week of protests since news of Daniel Prude’s death was released by his family.
Police arrested 16 people Wednesday morning.
